Bequeathals
Bequeathals Information
Most of the training that is held at the Manchester Surgical Skills and Simulation Centre is conducted using fresh frozen human cadaveric tissues.
These courses are used to train medical, surgical and dental students along with a wide range of other healthcare professionals.
This vital educational tool would not be possible without the generosity of people who bequeath their bodies to the University for the purposes of anatomical examination, medical education, postgraduate training and research and we are greatly indebted to the individuals who gift their bodies to the programme as they are the foundation that our future medical professionals build their knowledge upon.

All donations that are utilised within this educational programme are treated with the utmost respect, and in line with the appropriate consent laid out in the Human Tissues Authority regulations.
